Great Dames
IT'S TIME TO GIVE YOURSELF A GIFT.
Great Dames Discovery Circles are small, supportive circles of inspiring and aspiring women. They are focused on bringing out the “inner Great Dame” in all women by sharing expertise, experience and laughter. Hosted on the first Wednesday of each month, in the comfort and intimacy of a private setting, Great Dames Discovery Circles are patterned after the great Salons of the 19th century where people gathered to learn and grow through engaging speakers and conversations. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Each circle will be facilitated by a Guest Expert. Additionally, we will feature a local Nonprofit Organization that is involved in the topic area.
A unique aspect of our circles is the stress on cross-generational perspectives. At no additional cost, we invite you to bring a daughter, niece, or younger colleague.

November 3, 2010 Discovering Your Story What legacy are you leaving for your children and grandchildren? How can you discover and pass on your unique story through memoir writing?
Featured Nonprofit: First Person Arts, who believes that everyone has a story to tell, and that sharing our stories connects us with each other and the world.
December 1, 2010 Discovering Your Inner Artist Is there an artist inside of you needing to flourish? How can you nurture that artist and incorporate what you learn into your life?
Featured Nonprofit: a Delaware Arts Organization who inspires us to tap into our creative spirits.

5:30 to 7:00 pm
the Salon at Leon's Garden World 1700 Rocky Run Parkway, Wilmington, DE
Leon's Garden World is a local, women-owned business, run by Dawn Silicki, our host. It is located off Route 202, across from the Concord Mall.
Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
$40/session (for individual circle) $95 for all three circles (register by September 15th)
ALL net proceeds will be contributed to the Great Dames Fund to support the featured nonprofit and opportunities for aspiring Great Dames.
